Farmora is an original project that brings together information sharing (especially farming technics sharing), management of farms and tasks planning. It intends to help farmers, or even people who do simple gardening or people who do not know how to farm, to easily adopt farming methods (from organizations, researchers, fertilizer maker, pesticide maker, other farmer, inherited practice) and manage their project (including costs estimation, needed resources estimation, task management, workers management). In case of farmer needs funding for one of his projects, there is an option where he can describe it to others. The core of the apps, (where the farm owner can consult farming techniques, do costs estimation, manage his resources, etc. ) is a web-based apps , but a SMS (Small Message Service) feature will help farmer to easily notify his workers about what they have to do. Workers can also notify by SMS what works they have already done. Stage of development: we are now at stage of developing the apps kernel, and introducing some sample farming methods into it.

Farmdrive

  •   Description of the product developed for Agrihack

Farmdrive aims to increase access to financial services (loans) by acting as a disruptive platform that bypasses traditional lenders (Banks, MFI) and directly connects investors and farmers. It enables individuals who are interested in farming (both livestock and crop) to invest their disposable income with smallholder farmers interested in commercial farming. The farmer is encouraged to keep expense and revenue records on the platform not only to be eligible for loans but to also benefit from insightful analytics. Although loans are awarded to individual farmers, they are expected to form small groups of  five (5) on the platform in order to act as a verification tool and reduce delinquency through social pressure. Farmdrive has completed the conceptual stage and is currently under active development.
